LAHORE GLOBAL VILLAGE FESTIVAL ATTRACTS OVER 100,000 ATTENDEES, HIGHLIGHTS VIBRANT CULTURAL CELEBRATIONS

              

The Lahore Global Village Festival, a three-day extravaganza celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Lahore, concluded with resounding success, attracting over 100,000 enthusiastic attendees. The festival offered an array of entertainment, showcasing the city's diverse traditions and modern influences. Organized by Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), in collaboration with Genesis Properties. 

Chief Minister Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, formally inaugurated Lahore Global Village and commended the efforts of CBD Punjab and Genesis Properties in making LGV a reality.

"CBD Punjab and Genesis Properties have breathed new life into Lahore with the launch of Lahore Global Village," remarked Chief Minister Punjab. "This space offers Lahoris a unique destination to shop, dine, and unwind."

Imran Amin, CEO of CBD Punjab, expressed enthusiasm for the project's potential, stating, "Lahore Global Village represents the future of urban development, blending commerce with culture in a dynamic environment."

Chairman of Genesis Properties, Habib Nawaz, echoed Amin's sentiments, emphasizing the collaborative effort behind LGV's success.

Attendees reveled in the dynamic atmosphere, with various attractions catering to all age groups. The Kids' Section emerged as a standout, providing engaging activities and entertainment for the young participants. The festival was a gastronomic delight, featuring a delectable array of traditional Desi cuisine alongside an impressive lineup of local and international brands, satisfying the diverse palette of attendees.

A highlight of the event was the stellar performances by renowned artists like Soch Band, and Raga Boys with different singers captivating the audience throughout the three-day celebration. Notably, the crowd was thrilled by the electrifying performance of the legendary Abrar ul Haq, whose presence added an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.

Beyond entertainment, the festival served as a platform for fostering community engagement and promoting cultural exchange, further strengthening the bonds within the vibrant city of Lahore. In line with global efforts towards sustainability, the organizers incorporated eco-friendly practices, promoting waste reduction and environmental, consciousness throughout the event.

Economic confidence among finance professionals edges higher globally despite big fall in North America

                                            The latest ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and IMA ®  (Institute of Management Accountants)  Global Economic Conditions Survey (GECS) suggests that confidence among accountants and finance professionals edged slightly higher in Q2 2024 and is just above its historical average.  For chief financial officers (CFOs), all the key global indicators rose, with sharp gains evident in the New Orders and Capital Expenditure indices.   There were some notable regional differences . Western Europe-based accountants reported another decent increase in confidence as the euro area and UK economies continue to stage recoveries.
