CBD PUNJAB HITS MAJOR MILESTONE FOR GHORA CHOWK FLYOVER PROJECT

                                           

Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), is committed to transforming the urban landscape of Lahore. In a recent development, CBD Punjab proudly announced the completion of 100% retaining piles and pile caps for the Ghora Chowk Flyover Project.

CEO of CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, visited the Ghora Chowk Flyover Project site to oversee the progress and chaired a comprehensive project review meeting. The meeting was attended by the Executive Director Commercial CBD Punjab, Mohammed Omer, Executive Director Technical CBD Punjab, Riaz Hussain, Director Project Management CBD Punjab, Asif Iqbal, and Director of Construction CBD Punjab, Asif Babar, technical team of  CBD Punjab and official contractor of the project.

 CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin emphasized the importance of completing the project on time, in line with the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi, further highlighting the project's transformative potential for Lahore's cityscape.

Imran Amin stated, "This project will undoubtedly change the landscape of Lahore, providing enhanced transportation infrastructure and facilitating the daily lives of the residents."

During the project update, the technical team briefed CEO CBD Punjab on the progress made so far, which includes the completion of 100% retaining piles and pile caps, 80% completion of concrete lean for the MSC wall, and ongoing steel fixing on piers. CBD Punjab has also taken steps to ensure minimal disruption by placing new signboards indicating alternate routes for the convenience of commuters. Installation of LESCO, SNGPL, PTCL, and  Safe City is also near completion.

The Ghora Chowk Flyover Project by CBD Punjab is poised to be a game-changer, marking a significant milestone in urban development for the city of Lahore.

Economic confidence among finance professionals edges higher globally despite big fall in North America

                                            The latest ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and IMA ®  (Institute of Management Accountants)  Global Economic Conditions Survey (GECS) suggests that confidence among accountants and finance professionals edged slightly higher in Q2 2024 and is just above its historical average.  For chief financial officers (CFOs), all the key global indicators rose, with sharp gains evident in the New Orders and Capital Expenditure indices.   There were some notable regional differences . Western Europe-based accountants reported another decent increase in confidence as the euro area and UK economies continue to stage recoveries. Even Asia Pacific saw a small rise off the back of a huge gain previously, and the New Orders Index increased strongly. The region is benefitting from improvements in the global economy, including in the manufacturing sector and the upward moving technology cycle. However, North America’s financial professio
