Khushhali Microfinance Bank Collaborates with GROWTECH for Agriculture Technologies

             


Khushhali Microfinance Bank has entered into a strategic partnership with GROWTECH Services - a leading agriculture-technology company operating in Pakistan. Through this agreement, GROWTECH Services will provide technological solutions to Khushhali Microfinance Bank, to overcome the agricultural challenges and to meet the evolving needs of the farmers.

 

A formal ceremony was recently held in Islamabad, chaired by Mr. Ghalib Nishtar, for signing the agreement on behalf of Khushhali Microfinance Bank, while Mr. Shahnawaz Mahmood represented GROWTECH Services. The ceremony was also attended by many corporate executives of Khushhali Microfinance Bank. The team of senior leadership representing GROWTECH at the event, comprised of; Mr. Faisal Bilal, Mr. Abdul Rahan Mahmood and Dr. Tariq Saeed.

 

GROWTECH is an agriculture technology company working on a data-driven, scientific basis, led by its own team of experts and agronomists to remotely guide the farmer-communities, through their analytical advice and recommendations. GROWTECH has been providing its services to corporate farmers and individual growers across the country, to achieve more sustainability and growth. It has also developed an innovative digital Application, named: ‘GrowPak’ for performing multiple functions, such as: Agri-commerce by empowering the farmers to buy inputs and sell outputs.

 

Through this collaboration, farmers who are engaged with Khushhali Microfinance Bank will gain convenient access to state-of-the-art technologies provided by GROWTECH. The digital platform also provides valuable services based on remote-sensing, to help resolve critical issues like: agricultural land fertility, determination of areas infested by pests, crop-health and nutritional needs. It also recommends more balanced use of fertilizers, pesticides and supplements to enrich the soil and reduce the input-cost. GROWTECH will train and equip the  Khushhali Microfinance Bank teams, through a dashboard for remote-monitoring, while also offering financial-access and lending services to farmers, through the lending services of KMBL and other banks.

Economic confidence among finance professionals edges higher globally despite big fall in North America

                                            The latest ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and IMA ®  (Institute of Management Accountants)  Global Economic Conditions Survey (GECS) suggests that confidence among accountants and finance professionals edged slightly higher in Q2 2024 and is just above its historical average.  For chief financial officers (CFOs), all the key global indicators rose, with sharp gains evident in the New Orders and Capital Expenditure indices.   There were some notable regional differences .
